The kidnapped executive of a cement company made a dramatic appearance in Meghalaya capital Shillong eight hours after he was abducted at gunpoint from near Assam's main city of Guwahati, police said Friday.

Anil Chauhan, a Proclaimed Offender with over 3,000 cases of car lifting from remote Ladakh to the Northeast in his name, is arrested in Shillong.

Forty-one-year-old Anil Chauhan, who was earlier netted four times by police in different states, is now in custody of Meghalaya Police after being arrested from Assam's Silchar last Monday.
