The Assam Chronicle is a fast growing online publication focussing on Northeast India. Our aim is to project the region in its true light to the outside world highlighting the news and views that do make to the frontpage of the national media. 

We are currently looking for new blood to make The Assam Chronicle the most relaible, authentic and comprehensive source of information on India's northeast covering the region's diversity, culture and religion, people and places, and  current socio-political situation and economy. 

If you are a journalist or a writer or an editor, experienced or beginner, we are interested in hearing from you. If you have creative urge and concern for the region then express yourself through The Assam Chronicle and reach an worldwide audience. 

Available Positions:

Regular Columnist: Are you available to write regularly every week? Do you have something to say that people will clamour to read? Can you hold the readers’ attention and make them come back for more, time after time? Can you say yes to all of that? Then we need you!

Casual Writers: Do you consider yourself creative? Interesting? Full of ideas? Like putting words on paper? We want to hear from you. Contact us now and become part of our team.

Editors: We are looking for people with some experience of editing. You need to know at least the basics of how to edit, and preferably some experience with editing news articles, reports or manuscripts. If you think you fit the bill, contact us now and find out more.

Note that The Assam Chronicle is a volunteer based venture, thus no pay for you work. However, we will make every endevour to remunerate, either in cash or kind , for our regular writers and for any substantive work. Moreover, you will be able to harness your skill of creative writing if you are in early stage of your career.
