Brad Hogg retires from Test cricket Print E-mail
Wednesday, 27 February 2008

Melbourne, Feb.27 (ANI): Australian left-arm spinner Brad Hogg will announce his retirement from Test cricket at a press conference here this afternoon.

The 37-year-old left-arm spinner told senior Cricket Australia officials of his decision at the Allan Border Medal on Tuesday night.

Hogg played seven Test matches and 121 one-day games for Australia. He will finish after the finals of the Commonwealth Bank series, starting in Sydney on Sunday.

Australia is now left without a recognised Test spin bowler because of doubts over Stuart MacGill's comeback from hand surgery late last year.

It is unclear whether Hogg will be tempted to play in the rebel ICL tournament in India. (ANI)
