Naomi Campbell brands her arrest a 'racial slur' Print E-mail
Saturday, 05 April 2008

London, Apr 5 (ANI): While she faces a possible police probe for her recent tantrum at Heathrow Airport, model Naomi Campbell has alleged that she was arrested just because she was black.

The supermodel was not the least bit resentful over her recent behaviour at Terminal 5, where she allegedly spat at a cop's face and hurled abuse in a furious row over her luggage. The drama finally ended with her arrest.

The 37-year-old catwalk queen was finally released by police on April 4 and told a pal that it was her colour that subjected her to such a treatment.

"It just goes to show I have to fight for who I am. It's because I'm black," The Sun quoted her, as telling her pal.

Meanwhile, a source has revealed that this not the first time that Naomi has been at the receiving end because of her fiery temper.

"Naomi is not known for her warm personality or repentant nature, but she has come close to being sent to prison for her temper in the past, and we all thought this incident would shock her into submission. But she doesn't seem bothered at all. She is blaming the captain and her colour," said the source.

Now, she is waiting how the police want to proceed with her case and the officer she spat had to go for precautionary hepatitis and HIV test because of the risk of diseases spread through saliva. (ANI)
