Amy Winehouse's new lover obsessed with money and fame PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 29 April 2008

London, Apr 28 (ANI): Singer Amy Winehouse's alleged new lover Alex Haines is obsessed with money and fame, it has been revealed.

According to his friends, Haines, who is an assistant to the 24-year-old singer's manager, is ferociously ambitious.

"I'm shocked he's ended up with Amy but more surprised by talk of him being a good influence," the Mirror quoted a friend, as saying.

"He's into clubbing and everything that goes with it. He knows how to have a good time, put it that way.

"The other thing that motivates him is money. He always said he would do anything to get rich and he would love to be famous too," he added.

Meanwhile, photos showing Haines' junky lifestyle have been released on the Facebook.

The photos show him stripped to the waist at a drug-fuelled Thai beach party as he dances with his eyes half-shut.

The shot, from 2006, is captioned "Alex tripping", although there is no proof he has even taken drugs.

However, Haines' step dad Roger, 50, of Aylburton, Glos has defended his son.

"He'd never get involved in drugs and doesn't drink much. Alex can only be a positive influence," Roger said.

And Amy's dad Mitch, 57, is so alarmed at her state that he has revealed: "I want her sectioned." (ANI)
