Kathmandu, May 9 (ANI): Nepal Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala, who had announced to retire from politics after the Constituent Assembly (CA) elections, revised his stand to remain active in politics all through his life.
During his meeting with party members, Koirala said he would remain active in this field all through his life.
His interest for being active in politics came following the shocked defeat of the party in the CA polls.
Koirala further admitted that his failure on being active in the party and ineffective leadership of the new generation led to electoral defeat, Nepalnews reported.
In the meantime, Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) chairman Prachanda warned of revolt if his party was barred from leading the new government in Nepal.
He said the Seven Party Alliance (SPA) meeting would pave way for formation of new a government.
Prachanda further said that the people would sweep away all if anyone creates a hurdle on the day the Constituent Assembly (CA) declares Nepal a republic. The task has to be completed by May 28.
"Nepali people will really become sovereign for the first time in history, and feudalism will come to an end once and for all," Nepalnews quoted Prachanda as saying. (ANI)
