Madonna's not divorcing her hubby, or having an affair PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 02 July 2008

London, July 2 (ANI): Music icon Madonna has finally hit out at rumours that she's called in the divorce attorneys and that she's having an affair with a married baseball star.

Rumours of a break-up were fuelled after both Madge and British director hubby Guy Ritchie were seen without their wedding rings.

The 49-year-old singer put out a strongly-worded statement through her spokeswoman Liz Rosenberg insisting she has "no plans" to divorce her husband, reports The Sun.

The rep also insisted that Ritchie's arrival in New York was simply a family get-together, and not a final attempt to save the couple's marriage.

Rosenberg said: "Guy arrived in New York to be with his wife and family - not in a last-ditch attempt to save his marriage which does not need saving."

The couple also put on a united front as reports emerged that Madonna had a series of late-night meetings at her apartment with New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez, 32.

Rosenberg insisted that Madonna and Rodriguez, a father of two, were just pals.

"She and Alex share the same manager Guy Oseary. They know each other," she said.

Madonna and Rodriguez became friends after training together at the same gym. (ANI)
